I the boutique business we order more then we can sell so each season we have know choice but to run mega sales to get rid of the overstock left. Unlike the big boxed stores ln the malls know names mentioned we do not get heavy discounts so it is hard to compete.
I am learning monthly weekly, and daily new stuff about this business. I have now realized it is hard to compete with prices of the big boxed stores and even these huge children's websites where they have hundreds of sales a day and have certain brands grandfathered in, so now new little small town boutiques and sites have to go on a list to sell huge names like Giggle M and more. Most of these huge sites no names mentioned also don't have a real store either just ecommerce website.
